January Focus:  Strengthening our Team

As the new year begins and guests start to trickle back-or walk into church for the very first time-we’re reminded how much fully staffed classrooms matter. They give parents peace of mind and create a welcoming environment that helps families stay, return, and plant roots in our church.

​For those who jumped into serve for Christmas Eve, thank you! We would love for you to consider serving regularly in Kids Ministry in 2026-or even inviting a friend to join our team. Committed, consistent volunteers truly make all the difference. Our heart is that you would be fed by attending one service and then come give and pour into the kingdom during another.

New Saturday Night Service: Launching Jan 17​th

We’re excited to announce that Saturday night service is launching January 17 at 5:00 PM, and Grove Kids classrooms will be open!
Saturday Night Classrooms (Two volunteers are needed in each space)
  • 0–2s → 2s Classroom
  • 3–5s → Kindergarten Classroom
  • 1st–4th Grade → Larger Group Room
This new service gives us an incredible opportunity to reach more families—and it also means we’re looking to grow our volunteer team with people who can serve consistently on Saturday nights or help rotate coverage.
Thank you for helping us create a safe, welcoming, and joyful environment for kids and families as we step into this new season together.

We finally have lanyards with our names on them! Yay! So for this Sunday and the following ones, these are some things to keep in mind:
1. The lanyards will be hanging in the resource room in alphabetical order.
2. If you don't see your name, don't worry; contact us; we have some more in a box.
3. Wear the lanyards during the service.
4. Return your lanyard to the resource room after the service in alphabetical order as well.

We Need More Hands and Hearts in the Classroom!

​Our kids thrive when they’re surrounded by caring adults who can give them attention, encouragement, and a safe space to grow. What is Thoughtful Thursday?

Thoughtful Thursday is a behind-the-scenes volunteer team that meets each Thursday to help prepare our Children’s Ministry spaces for Sunday services. From tidying classrooms and organizing supplies to resetting activities and creating a welcoming environment, this team plays a vital role in setting the stage for meaningful ministry on Sundays. It’s called “Thoughtful Thursday” because that’s exactly what this team is — thoughtful! They serve with care, intentionality, and a heart to create a space where kids can feel safe, loved, and ready to grow in their faith. What is our Focus Lead Team?

Our Focus Leads Team is made up of key volunteer leaders who help guide and support specific areas within Grove Kids. These leaders oversee things like check-in, cleaning, health and wellness, and more. Their purpose is to equip and encourage volunteers, solve problems quickly, and help create an excellent, Christ-centered experience for every child and family who walks through our doors.
