Child Protection Policy

Our Child Protection Policy outlines the standards and procedures we follow to ensure every child in our care is safe. It includes our screening process for volunteers and staff, training requirements, safety guidelines, emergency procedures, and reporting expectations. All volunteers serving in Grove Kids are required to read and follow this policy. You can access the full policy packet below to review the details.

Mandatory Reporter Training

Our Mandatory Reporter Training equips every Grove Kids volunteer with the knowledge and confidence to recognize, respond to, and report signs of abuse or neglect. This training explains what it means to be a mandatory reporter, who to contact when concerns arise, and how to follow proper reporting procedures to protect children. It also covers key prevention practices, confidentiality guidelines, and ways to care for both families and fellow volunteers during sensitive situations. All Grove Kids volunteers are required to complete this training and quiz to ensure the safety and well-being of every child in our ministry. Safety Reminder for All Volunteers

Please follow our check-in & check-out protocol at all times:
  •  Only release a child to the adult who has the pick-up sticker with a code that matches the child’s name label.
  •  If the code does not match or there’s no sticker, do not release the child. Notify your lead immediately.
Bathroom Breaks During Large Group: 
  • We’ve noticed some kids try to leave Large Group by going to the bathroom with friends. This often means they miss the Bible story and worship time that helps set up the rest of their morning. To keep everyone engaged and safe, please encourage them to wait until Small Group or ask your lead if it’s truly urgent.
